Bloons Tower Defense 6 is a game of intense strategy, where knowing when and where to place each tower can mean the difference between victory and failure. The game is incredibly well-balanced, and every addition to the wide array of towers available is viable! That being said, there are some that stand out amongst the crowd.

In order to effectively rank a tower's overall power, a few things have to be taken into account. Statistics like utility across all levels, potential upgrades, and synergy with others are all drastically important! With these factors considered, here are some of the best towers in Bloons Tower Defense 6.
10 Monkey Ace
On the more difficult maps, Monkey Ace is generally a fantastic first pick, thanks to its ability to hit multiple lanes at once! The tower is surprisingly cheap and has some pretty solid upgrades for most strategies. Although, there is an argument to be made that your success with the Monkey Ace is a bit reliant on RNG.

To counteract this, there is a relatively inexpensive bottom-path upgrade that allows the tower's darts to auto-lock onto bloons, ensuring no dart goes wasted! Or, you can skip the bottom path altogether because both the top and middle paths are pretty solid choices as well.
9 Ninja Monkey
The Ninja Monkey will make a fantastic addition to any match, thanks to its overall great versatility! Just one or two of these guys will allow the player to ignore expensive camo upgrades for the first 40 or so rounds, saving vital cash in order to eliminate the MOAB.
But the Ninja Monkey's utility branches far from just a camo-detector because his rapid attack speed and phenomenal range make him easy to love. Not to mention, a horde of X/3/X upgrade path ninjas has remained a staple of many players' strategies since the game's release!
8 Sniper Monkey
This highly trained elite monkey has a special perk that allows him to see the entire map upon placement, granted there is nothing obstructing his view! For both early and late rounds alike, the Sniper Monkey provides a fantastic barrage of lead to keep those pesky bloons at bay.
The Sniper Monkey's bottom upgrade path is undoubtedly the strongest, but that certainly doesn't mean there aren't situations in which others will be more effective! Similarly to the Ninja Monkey, creating your own Task Force 141 by placing down a wall of sniper monkeys is a very viable (and wildly effective) strategy.
7 Glue Gunner
The Glue Gunner is suspiciously deceptive, appearing at first to be one of the weakest towers in the game. However, it takes only a few upgrades (particularly on the top path) for the gunner's real power to come through!
That being said, the Glue Gunner is not a monkey to be left on its own. It works marvelously alongside towers with higher damage potential, allowing them to make quick work of the bloons soaked in glue! Be sure to place the Glue Gunner in an area with heavy traffic for maximum efficiency.
6 Tack Shooter
When upgraded properly, the Tack Shooter is capable of ejecting an ungodly amount of Tacks within a minuscule amount of time! Its main draw, however, is its ability to shoot 360 degrees around it at the same time, making it outstanding for volume-heavy levels.
Another testament to the Tack Shooters' effectiveness is that every upgrade path is a great choice. Unlike some of the lower-ranked entries on this list, there is a time and place for all 3 paths, so take all things into consideration and do what will benefit you most. But, of course, you can never go wrong with the Tack Zone upgrade.
5 Monkey Village
The Monkey Village is a staple in almost every single high-level run. This is because no matter your strategy, skill level, or map, the Monkey Village has something of value to offer! If only it didn't take up so much room...
The top path upgrade is always a great choice as it will, by default, make any towers in its immediate vicinity noticeably stronger! The middle path offers some pretty hearty buffs, even to the point of negating any pop restrictions for its towers! And for the corporate executive in you, the bottom path will certainly make you filthy rich.
4 Monkey Sub
The Monkey Sub is staggeringly powerful, able to easily carry players through many tough levels all on its own. The top path upgrade, in particular, will effectively turn the tower into a sniper monkey, able to see anything in the range of other monkeys all across the map!

The sub's darts will also auto-lock onto nearby bloons, pairing wonderfully with either a piercing upgrade or the double dart upgrade! Plus, the Monkey Sub's level 5 upgrades are all game-changers and virtually unrivaled in their excellence. Truth be told, if the Monkey Sub wasn't restricted exclusively to water, the tower would almost assuredly rank higher.
3 Spike Factory
Good luck finding a high-level player that doesn't use the Spike Factory to its max potential on virtually every match they play! The Spike Factory is a fantastic "last resort" tower, acting as a safety net for the sections of the map with little or no monkey action.
The bottom upgrade path, long-lasting spikes, is a staple for the Spike Factory. And even after receiving a pretty hefty nerf a few patches ago, it still remains one of the most powerful upgrade paths in all of Bloons Tower Defense 6.
2 Druid
The Druid has been the go-to resolution for many of BTD6's toughest rounds since launch. Particularly when it is paired with Obyn Greenfoot and a magnitude of other Druids, there is some serious synergy that is able to decimate high volumes of difficult bloons.
Go ahead and place down three to five Poplust Druids, and watch as those once-difficult levels become a piece of cake. However, not only does the Druid have insane damage potential, but it can also be a source of some excellent cash flow if combined with banana farms!
1 Alchemist
If you've been a Bloons Tower Defense 6 player for a while, you knew it would be on here! Players who have only used the middle and bottom path upgrades will likely be surprised as to why the Alchemist is ranked as the best in the game since they are nothing too impressive. While they can certainly be powerful, it is the top path that turns the Alchemist into the undisputed champion!
The top path Alchemist will provide colossal buffs to all monkeys in its vicinity, turning them into absolute beasts. Ceramic and lead bloons will become trivial, and Moabs will be obliterated if they try to approach. And, of course, the tower is still quite strong in itself!
