What is Chase Bank cut-off time? ›

If your deposit was sent on or before the business day cutoff (11 PM Eastern time), you'll receive this message the same day. A business day is every day except Saturday, Sunday, and federal and state holidays.

Chase Pay Over Time after purchase allows cardmembers to pay off eligible purchases of $100 or more over time. Pay Over Time plans started after a purchase don't accrue interest; instead, cardmembers pay a fixed monthly fee. Plans range from 3-24 months and can be paid off early without penalty.

Cutoff times apply to various types of banking transactions, including wire transfers, check deposits, and electronic ACH transfers. These times can vary from bank to bank or depending on the transaction type within the same bank. Most banks have a cutoff time around 5:00 p.m. local time.

Bottom line. In most cases, a check should clear within one or two business days. There are a few cases in which a check might be held for longer, such as if it's a large deposit amount or an international check. There are some other important details to know before wiring money with Chase. The total wire transfer limit is $250,000 per business day and the wire cut-off time is 4pm EST. So be sure you get your request in before this cut-off time, otherwise Chase will only process it the next business day.

Most Chase accounts have a $25,000 per day limit. Chase Private Client and Chase Sapphire Banking limits are $100,000 per day. Keep in mind, your other bank may have a different transfer limit.

With Chase Overdraft Assist, if you're overdrawn by $50 or less at the end of the business day OR if you're overdrawn by more than $50 and you bring your account balance to overdrawn by $50 or less at the end of the next business day (you have until 11 PM ET (8 PM PT) to make a deposit or transfer).

If you pay at least the minimum amount due between 8 PM and 11:59 PM Eastern time and today's your due date, don't worry: Your payment will still be on time. You'll see a late fee on your account tomorrow, but we'll reverse it automatically when the payment posts in 1-2 days.
